At the meeting held today at the Economic Chamber of Belgrade, representatives of the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs along with leading regional businessmen, assessed that cooperation of that association with businessmen of the region, could significantly be improved in numerous areas.

The International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs consists of 28 member states from the former Russian Federation, Asia, Southeastern Europe and, recently, Japan.

 Representatives of the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs assessed that countries of the Western Balkans and that association could cooperate in different areas. Some of them are energy efficiency, recycling of tires, use of renewable energy sources, spreading of use of public-private partnerships in these areas, as well as the cooperation in agriculture and tourism. The importance of banking and financial connections in the Balkan region was also emphasized at the meeting.

The meeting ,which was hosted by the president of the Economic Chamber of Belgrade, Dr Milan Janković, was attended by Oleg Berezovoy – vice president of the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (ICIE) from Moscow, Janez Podobnik – vice president of the International Center for Promotion of Enterprises from Slovenia, Duško Knežević – the president of the Atlas Group, Branislav Bugarski, Provincial Secretary of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina.

„Today, economic integrations are not only imperative for the countries of the Western Balkans, but also for all countries that enter the congress and integrate us in the business in Europe or Asia. Today, everyone is seeking for the way out of the crisis“, said Oleg Berezovoy , vice president of the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (ICIE).

At the meeting held at the Economic Chamber of Belgrade, Berezovoy presented system of functioning of that association and possibilities of cooperation to the leading regional businessmen. President of the Atlas Group, Duško Knežević, also sees the opportunity for development through good connection of businessmen with that association.

 „The Atlas Group has special interest for strengthening cooperation with this association, because we have bank in Moscow, many companies from former Yugoslavia are present at the Russian market“, said the president of the Atlas Group Duško Knežević.

From The Economic Chamber of Belgrade also believe that cooperation with the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs represents good chance for development.

„That represents the support for the projects and finance and investments in the Republic of Serbia and also the region through the Republic of Serbia“, believes the president of the Economic Chamber of Belgrade Milan Janković.

The International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (ICIE) is the association established 22 years ago after the breakup of the Soviet Union. It consists of 28 member states of the former Russian Federation, Asia, Southeastern Europe and, recently, Japan.

The meeting at the Economic Chamber of Belgrade was also attended by Zlatko Saje, the Association of ICIE Slovenia; Budimir Raičkovič, president of SACEN; Miloš Vučinić, president of the The Belarus Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Slobodan Terzić, Bank of Vojvodina; Venera Eror Tešić, Banca Intesa; Dr Dragan Trivan i Predrag Ćurčić, vice presidents of the Economic Chamber of Belgrade; representatives of Association and Centers of the Economic Chamber of Belgrade and other guests.
